A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

MOXIE Productions presents ″A Streetcar Named Desire,″ by Tennessee Williams, on Friday, November 22nd & Saturday, November 23rd at the White Meeting House at The Waterbury Congregational Church at 7:30pm. This theatrical reading will be directed by local actor/filmmaker/playwright and dairy farmer, George Woodard. Since 1947, ″A Streetcar Named Desire″ continues to resonate with audiences and artists in content and substance, placing it in the category of one of America’s most significant pieces of dramatic literature.

The America’s Favorites Series will showcase plays which American luminaries have awarded, theater companies have most produced, and audiences in the past have talked the most about, in theatrical readings from October 2013 to May 2014, with local professional and community actors & directors. The series will also include other well-loved plays presented in January, March and May of 2014. This series is sponsored by Across Roads Center for the Arts and The White Meeting House.
